Kaitlynn and Vicky designed and painted this amazing button for, 'The Button box' production. I'm sure you'll agree that it's pretty spectacular.

Yoga with Room 4 students
Room 4 students were very lucky to have Kate McLeay come in and take them for a yoga lesson. The lesson focussed on breathing and a few simple techniques they can use if they're feeling stressed or a bit overwhelmed. It was a lovely way of giving the students the power to look after themselves and showed them the power of mindfulness.
Design and build an environmentally friendly home
In their groups, Room 4 students planned and created an environmentally friendly home. They needed to consider water conservation, energy conservation and building materials they would use for windows, insulation, flooring and their roofing.
HNI Year 7 boys athletic champions
Room 4 are very proud of Jason and Tom. They are the Year 7 athletic boys champions for HNI. Well done to you both.

Te Reo - Room 4's language wall
Room 4 created their own Te Reo wall. The students worked in partners and presented their masterpiece to the class and practised their Maori pronunciation.
Visual Art - by Room 4
For visual art in Term 3 we looked at Tom Scott cartoons and had a great time putting together our own cartoons to get a message across.
We also studied Banksy Graffiti and the students loved using their graffiti style fonts to illustrate words, that best described a 'Change Maker' from our Inquiry unit. They've created a very effective back wall.

Published picture books - by Room 4 students
I am very proud of Room 4 students publishing their own picture books. The students could choose to write a fiction or non-fiction book, proofread and illustrate and what a result! Please come into our class anytime for a great read.
Room 4 - Term 4
Welcome back! Term 4
It was so lovely to get back to class and learn about everyone's holiday. For literacy, I asked the students to write a recount. They had to create 2 postcards to Mrs B, telling me all about their holiday.
