Year 7 Social Dance
In the last week of Term 3, we held the Year 7 Social Dance. Over the previous few weeks, the students had been learning a number of line dances and waltzes. Our theme was neon and the school councillors along with Mrs Stephenson and Miss O'Brien decorated the hall. The students wore their 'best' and looked amazing. Mr Billings was our DJ and we had such a fun night!

'Make It' art
For our Inquiry topic in art we were making things based around the theme of 'Matariki'. Brooke used flax to weave her creation and Cody Power and Jack used paper to create their 'wearable arts' creation.
Furniture visit - Innovation Inquiry
As part of our Inquiry topic we had a class trip to Furnware. In groups we were given the opportunity to design our own table that we thought would be fantastic to work on at school. We had to consider what materials we would use, colour and functional elements of the design. We worked in groups and then presented our design to everyone. Furnware picked the winning design and then made the table and presented it back to HNI. We loved our trip to Furnware, thank you to the Furnware team.
Electives - Ovenless Awesomeness
In Term 2 electives a few of the Room 14 students chose to do, 'Ovenless Awesomeness'. Here you'll see Marissa, Trinity, Maddie, Zoe and Capri putting together their chocolate truffle log mixture.
