Orienteering.....A Real World Maths Challenge.

In Maths, Room 4 are focusing on learning to work with coordinates, using simple scale maps and following directions using a map when given instructions. This afternoon we were given the opportunity to practise these mathematical concepts through taking part in Orienteering. We had a choice of maps to follow, starting from basic to more advanced. Some of us worked individually while others chose to tackle the courses in small groups. We were all challenged and enjoyed working with mathematical ideas in a real life situation.
